Rob Lowe Survivors

Hello,

I've painted a few more Wargames Factory male Survivor up as a Rob Lowe zombie hunting team.

Here's the current crew standing in a line.

"I'm Rob Lowe and I have Direct TV."  I stole fancy paper from my wife's crapbooking supplies in an attempt make a red carpet.

"I'm Super Creepy Rob Lowe and I have cable TV.  My cable's out so I'm down at the Rec Center killing zombies."

"I'm Far Less Attractive Rob Lowe.  With cable you get pictures and some sound of me killing zombies."

"I'm Painfully Awkward Rob Lowe and I can't go pee with zombies in the room."

"I'm Crazy Hairy Rob Lowe.  I have arm hair curtains.  And I don't like that."  Once again, that's my old lady's hair on his arms.  I painted it brown.

"I'm Scrawny Arms Rob Lowe.  I guess I'm not having any mayonnaise."  I made the little tennis balls out of Sculpy clay.

"I'm Meat Head Rob Lowe and I can't stop saying "Bro", bro!"  He's got GW imperial guard arms.

Here's a bunch of Rob Lowes fighting zombies.

These guys were a quick poorly done job; I hope to add Paranoid, Peaked in High School, or Bad Decision Making Rob Lowes in the future.

I've been spending most of my time trying to teach my new grafted-on set of arms to paint.

French Line Grenadiers and Random Minis

Hello,

I've managed to paint half a small unit of Perry plastic French Grenadiers.  Here you can see the 13 of them marching somewhere.

Another angle of them still marching.  I frequently force march my French, because I am a cruel emperor.

I only painted two poses; the ones in their supposedly great coats.

The Perry plastic box has four poses of marching Grenadiers (or Voltiguers); I'll paint the two poses without said coats on, next.  There are two back pack options which will give the finished unit eight minor model variations.

I painted a few other minis too.  Some sort of thief or assassin, most likely from Ral Partha or Grenadier.  A John Conner model of unknown origin, whose face I ruined with drunken highlighting. It says John Conner on his base.  There's also two LotR GW Rohan leaders.

I found the two Rohan in a FLGS bits bin.  Eowyn's sword is managled and Eomir's is missing.  I'm going to pretend it's the invisible Elfin blade, Loirleilei.  Loirleilei is only mentioned once very briefly in the Silmarillion, one of the really awful back chapters that no one really reads, trust me.

From the back, it looks as it Eomir is waving a chocolate ice cream cone.  I've been meaning to give a friend this little terrain piece for many moons.

No!  The evil bad assassin is going to kill humanity's last hope.  Stop now, or you'll go on a forced march!

John's wearing a dark gray polyester twill blend two piece tactical combat suit.

John has a cute little robot head on his pre-manufactured base.

Till later then, I hope to have some zombie Survivors done and maybe even a unit of French cavalry, Chasseur a Cheval.

Uruk Hai Berserkers and Prussian Cavalry

Hello,

I decided to paint some more LotR minis.  Uruk Hai beserkers seemed a fun choice. These are the plastic Uruk berserkers that came with the Uruk siege box set.  One was missing a torch, so I'm armed him as best I could.

Here are three metal Uruk berserkers.  I think they made four versions in metal.
You can't tell in the pics, but I gave the guys veins on their rippling muscles.  I put on varnish, then spray on clear matte, before the varnish is quite dry.  The matte drys quicker than the varnish and pulls it into small spidery ridges that quite resemble scars or veins on flatter  surfaces.  Only try this on nude or nearly nude models as you may ruin clothing and armor.  It would also nearly destroy a tank model, which is how I stumbled on to this trick.

Here they are all together, about to realize their weapons are useless versus thick stone walls, "Run away!".

A spot of gardening.

I've also managed to finish painting seven Old Glory Prussian Landwehr Cava
lry.

They are from the 4th Regiment of the 4th Silesian Landweher Cavalry. They are wearing frumpy schirmutz caps instead of proper shakos. Instead doing my own research, I filched the color scheme from the terrific "Blunders on the Danube" blog.

Here they running towards the left of your computer screen. I've included three previously painted models, that I posted maybe a month ago, before I ran out of blue paint.

Here they are running away.

Here they are helping the Rohirrim ethnic cleanse the land of orcs.

Till next time, when I'll have a few more French Nappys and maybe a couple LotR minis done.

Love and kisses,

Centaurs Running Around

Hello and Thank You for Visiting,

I finished a small pack of Centaurs.

Here's a picture of them all together.  Everyone but the standard bearer is a Mega-Mini.  I have no idea if Mega-Minis bought the molds from someone else, or has since sold them. Mega-Minis have great stuff, but their catalog constantly changes.

Here's a couple that are quite Greek looking

Here's the standard bearer and one that almost appears possibly Asian.  The standard bearer is an old Ral Partha or Grenadier sculpt; I wonder if Tom Meir made it.  It may be quite rare, as I can't find much on them using the Google machine.

Here are a couple evil looking centaurs.

Here's a few more classical style centaurs; they strike me far more like the wild ones of myth, who get violently drunk and go on booze-induced rape and killing sprees.  Then Heracles or someone will have to kill them all with poison or tricks.

Till next time, when I'll have some Prussian cavalry done and maybe some Uruk Hai berserkers.
